Overview

Dana Swaies [Dana Ahmad Swaies] has expressed a violent hatred of Jews, expressed support for the terror group Hamas and cheered the abduction and killing of Israelis.

Swaies has also spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel on Twitter.

During her high school years, Swaies also spread hatred of Jews and demonized Zionists on Twitter.

In 2014 and 2015, Swaies organized and promoted events for the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).

As of August 2020, Swaies was listed as a 2016 - 2017 and 2015 - 2016 board member for the Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament (MIST), where she served as the Registration Chair. She was also listed as a Volunteer Chair on the 2014 - 2015 board.

As of August 2020, Swaies’s Facebook page said she studied Industrial and Organizational Psychology at MTSU and lived in Nashville, Tennessee.

Swaies wrote on Facebook that she started studying at MTSU in July 2014 and indicated that she graduated in May 2018.

As of March 2021, Swaies’s LinkedIn page said she was a Scheduling Coordinator at the Murfreesboro offices of Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, in Tennessee, since November 2020.

Swaies’s LinkedIn page also said she worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, from “Aug 2015 - Jan 2019.” Swaies also went by the name Dana Ahmad on LinkedIn.

As of August 2020, Swaies used the alias Bateekhahead and the screen name دانا on Twitter.

Violent Hatred of Jews

On August 20, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Swaies tweeted: “Can't wait to see what Hamas is going to do with the yahood [Jews] tonight!!”

Hamas is a designated terrorist organization by the European Union, Canada, Australia, the United States and Israel.

Israel commenced OPEin the summer of 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

On July 14, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “Falasteen bladna wel yahood klabna!!! Allah yakhdak!” [Palestine is our county and the Jews are our dog!!! May Allah annihilate you!]

Supporting Hamas

On August 26, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “So so sooo ecstatic for the people of Gaza, the Qassam resistance, and all of Palestine on our HUGE victory today!! #PalestineWillNeverDie.”

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades is the military wing of Hamas.

On August 21, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “#WeAreAllHamas #WeAreAllPalestine.”

On August 20, 2014, as a cease-fire was due to expire between Israel and Gaza, Swaies tweeted: “45 more minutes left till Hamas takes action!! #GazaUnderAttack #Cantwait.” That day, Gaza militant groups reportedly broke the ceasefire by firing dozens of rockets at Israeli population centers.

On July 14, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “Al Qassam just fired two rockets to the occupiedcity of Eilat and bombed a car and a hotel. #PalestineResists.”

On July 12, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “Odrob odrob Tel Aviv!! #FreePalestine #GazaUnderAttack.”

Odrob Tel Aviv [Strike A Blow At Tel Aviv] is a song produced by Hamas during OPE.

Cheering Abductions and Killings

On July 17, 2014, a month after Hamas kidnapped and murdered three Israeli high-schoolers, who were waiting at a bus stop on their way home from school, Swaies tweeted: “Seriously 3 Israelis die and it's like the end of the whole damn world. F**k that.. Allah la yerodkom ya klab [May Allah never bring you back, you, dogs].”

On July 20, 2014, Swaies tweeted a photo of Israeli soldier Oron Shaul and wrote: “Image of the captured soldier!! His name is Shaul Aron! Allahu akbar! #FreePalestine #GazaUnderAttack.”

Shaul was caught in a deadly ambush in Shejaiya, Gaza, by Hamas terrorists during Operation Protective Edge (OPE). Hamas celebrated the capture of Shaul and even produced a song. The IDF later determined that Shaul was dead and that his body was held by Hamas.

On July 19, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “30 Israeli soldiers injured and 6 killed in the past 24 hours. Can’t wait for all of you to die!! #FreePalestine #GazaUnderAttack.”

Anti-Semitism

On July 17, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “@AnthonyRLong they are psycho inhumane land occupiers. Repeating the Holocaust onto the Palestinian people.”

Comparisons of Israel to Nazi Germany is a modern form of anti-Semitism, according to the U.S. State Department.

On July 14, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “not worth our time. Yahoodi ibn kalb [Jew son of a dog]!”

Swaies retweeted a July 10, 2014 tweet, that read: “People see Hitler as the most cruel heartless guy to ever exist I'm sorry but I found @IsraeliPM [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] to be the most heartless ppl to ever exist.”

Swaies retweeted a June 30, 2014 tweet, that read: “In sha Allah [please God] the yahoods [Jews] get what's coming !”

Swaies retweeted another June 30, 2014 tweet, that read: “Idc if I break my fast, I f**king hate Jews! Y'all will burn in hell.”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On November 11, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “Muslim Zionist and proud piece of s**t!” The post featured a photo from a lecture given by former Muslim extremist, Kasim Hafez, organized by Christians United for Israel (CUFI) on campus.

On July 17, 2014, Swaies tweeted: “@yaqeeen17 it’s Israeli pigs ya3ni what should we expect? Bas Allah is with them and mansooren be izen Allah inshallah [Only Allah is with them and protected with Allah's help]!”

On the same day, Swaies tweeted: “Israeli pigs beginning to retreat from the northern Gaza borders. Ya rab yehmekom ya shabab wa erjal falasteen [O Lord [God], protect them o youth o men of Palestine]. We will be free one day!!!!!”

Swaies retweeted an October 19, 2016 tweet, that read: “Israeli soldiers shot and killed 19-year-old #Palestinian girl Raheeq Yousef... which happens to be my cousin's wife.”

Raheeq Yousef was shot by Israeli border police in 2016 after she attacked the officers with a knife.

Swaies retweeted a September 30, 2016 tweet by Allahidin Rashed, that read: “16 years ago, Israeli occupation forces brutally murdered Mohammed Al-Dorra. We will never forget.”

The Al-Durah hoax is an iconic piece of anti-Israel propaganda, fabricated on September 30, 2000 at the start of the Second Intifada by a France 2 reporter.

High School - Hatred of Jews

On March 28, 2013, Swaies also tweeted: “‘Jews were put in gas chambers... Explains why all Arabs own gas stations

’ HAHA!”

Swaies added to the thread: “...falasten bladna wel yahood klabna! [Palestine is our land and the Jews are our dogs!] haha had to say that!”

In a March 28, 2013 Twitter discussion, Swaies also tweeted: “no the jews homeland is back somewhere in europe where they originate from.”

Swaies continued: “any.of them living on OUR land are evil to me. Will not change my mind on that.”

On February 28, 2013, Swaies tweeted: “Watching a documentary in class abt the Holocaust and its exactly just like whats happening in Palestine right now ..”

On January 30, 2013, Swaies tweeted: “No boy , you are jewish from ‘israel’ do not claim yourself as middle eastern !”

On January 3, 2013, Swaies tweeted: “#InTheMiddleEast we blame everything bad on the jews lol.”

On November 14, 2012, Swaies tweeted: “All the Arab leaders + obama = israel's puppets !”

On October 17, 2012, Swaies tweeted: “i hate my topper time cuz this yahoodi [Jewish] kid is always claiming hes middle eastern from ‘israel’ . P**ses me off everytime .”

On October 11, 2012, Swaies tweeted: “@merna9600 lmaoo me too ! and he has a huge yahoodi [Jewish] nose lolol .”

On September 18, 2012, Swaies tweeted: “‘@Fat_K411: This new Twitter app has AIDS. I can't see my mentions or who follows me. Ukh...the jews…’ lmfao!”

On April 28, 2012, Swaies tweeted: “F**k all those jews that work in the mall”

On April 18, 2012, Swaies tweeted a picture that blamed Jews for the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center by Al Qaeda in 2001. Swaies tweeted: “About time someone realizes the damn truth ! #FreePalestine .”

Swaies’s tweet featured a screenshot of a message from an online forum. The headline read: “COPY THIS MESSAGE FAST BECAUSE JEWS AND TRAITORS DELETE IT FAST! TERRORIST JEWS KILLED 3000 AMERICANS ON 9/11/ DO YOU WANT TO BE NEXT KILLED BY JEWS?” The text also claimed that Israel was created “illegally” and described the country as the “base of criminal operations for the...Zionists.”

The text then blamed Jews for the assassination of John F. Kennedy and said “All Jews covered it up because all Jews always protect themselves as a group.”

High School - Demonizing Zionists

On December 15, 2013, after a sniper killed an Israeli soldier patrolling the Lebanese-Israeli border, Swaies tweeted: “S/O [Shout out] to the Lebanese army for killing an Israeli soldier today! #FreePalestine.”

On March 28, 2013, Swaies tweeted: “Watching this movie makes my blood boil. Hate you zionist klab [dog].”

On November 14, 2012, during Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense (OPD),
Swaies tweeted: “F**k you israel . And all you damn zionists . Go to hell .”

Israel launched OPD to stop Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli civilians from Gaza. Over the course of eight days in November 2012, Palestinian terrorist groups fired more than 1,500 rockets at Israel. The majority struck Israel, damaging homes, schools and other civilian areas. Human Rights Watch noted: “Palestinian armed groups made clear in their statements that harming civilians was their aim.”

On August 29, 2012, in response to a tweet that read: “No matter who you are, race, color, whatever it may be, don't be ashamed of it.” Swaies tweeted: “unless your a zionist lol”

On July 2, 2012, Swaies tweeted: “Seriously hope every zionist jew living on palestinian land rots in hell .”

MSA

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
